Hi, let me introduce a little of my self,I am Vejiel Velez but you can call me Jiel or Vej you choose. Am actually 20 years of age and the eldest of the 5 siblings. my father died when I was grade four,it's still quiet young right? And after that incident my mother was the only one who supported us and it's not a bit easy for my mother.Every body thought I would be able to stop studying but I was determined to study and I was really glad my mother supported my decision and she supported my expenses until grade 6. And in order to pay back my mother's hard work I really studied so hard and that I graduated elementary as valedictorian. I thought I wouldn't be able to study high school due to lack of financial assistance but thanks God I've got scholarship from the Institution run by nuns in Cebu City but the problem was Cebu City was so far from our hometown and I have just to go home once a year. But I choose the scholarship,I choose to be far from my family because I believed education was the only way to save my family from poverty.Indeed I graduated High school with satisfactory performance.During my journey in high school I learned the basic of electronics, the basic of pastries, the basic in book keeping, the basic in sewing, the basic in culinary arts and the basic on computer. The scholarship ends when I graduated high school but I continued praying to God hoping I could study college no matter what school i would be in. And indeed after I went home, I've got scholarship from the University of St. La Salle Bacolod, I was not really expecting USLS would be my school because I knew it is the school for the rich people but I am only a poor girl. but then I've got full scholarship in USLS. I studied hard in order for my benefactors not to feel their help is wasted. and because them I am a deans Lister from first year to send year and third year first semester.and currently I am third year student here at USLS and still working hard and making all things to the fullest of my ability, even if sometimes it's really difficult but I always feel grateful and happy to God for giving this opportunity. There will always be laughter beyond the pains in learning.
like mother like daughterI'm usually close to my mother. My mother is one of my inspirations to really work hard as a student. we were miss interpreted as sisters. It's really fun when someone would ask if we were just sisters.

my happy familywhen I felt like giving up, they are the one i'm thinking because they are the reasons why I hold on so long. They are the reasons why I manage to smile even when i'm in pain.

My lovely little SisterMy sister is so loving sister although she is so naughty sometimes but she makes the family laugh. She is one of the reasons why I have chosen my course now.
